Head of Tax

Margaret Lip is a Partner and Head of Tax at Fremont Group. She has over twenty-three years of experience working with clients on their personal income and estate tax planning. 

Margaret joined Fremont Group from Andersen Tax, where she was a Managing Director and Tax Partner in San Francisco. Margaret’s practice at Andersen focused on tax compliance and consulting for ultra-high net worth family groups and individuals, family offices, tax-exempt organizations, and closely held businesses. She worked for Andersen Tax and its predecessors for her entire career prior to joining Fremont.

A Bay Area native, Margaret holds a BA in Economics and a Minor in Business Administration from the University of California at Berkeley, and a MS in Taxation from San Jose State University. Margaret is a certified public accountant and a committee member of the AICPA Trust, Estate and Gift Tax Technical Resource Panel.
